Change Champions provide a crucial link between the TW3:Future of Work programme and teams; supporting with communication, providing feedback to the programme, being advocates and role models on all things TW3:Future of Work and helping drive key activities that enhance and improve the future of work for staff.
For employees they are a key resource to tap into about the changes. And for the champions, it’s a real opportunity to be part of and contribute to a major change programme.
In addition to the general responsibilities outlined above, there are specific areas champions can specialise in, including:
- Bin It, Scan It, Store It – supporting their areas to reduce storage, clean up days to clear out what teams don’t need, and signposting people about how to scan or store information off site.
- Technology – supporting and guiding colleagues through the Office 365 technology roll out and how to make best use of the new tools.
- Modern Ways of Working – being a sounding board, contributing ideas and inputting into supporting policies, guidance, processes and procedures around new ways of working.
Champions are kept informed via regular workshops and updates from the programme team and supported through presentations of upcoming projects, visits to sites and opportunity to have their questions answered on behalf of their teams.
Service areas typically have their own meetings which is an opportunity for champions to get together, flag up what is happening in their areas. Champions can also access The Change Champions Microsoft Teams group where they can post questions/queries and share learning with each other and offer some peer support!
