Team Principles is a simple template for managers and teams to develop how you’ll work together now and into the future. It sets out at a practical level how your team will work, communicate and support each other.
Building on the learnings of the TW3 Development Programme, Team Principles are the foundation of an open and honest team culture. It’s designed to be a practical document about good practice/housekeeping you’ll use now and in the new office, and welfare elements like keeping in touch and supporting each other.
Trialled in Adults, 75% of teams have completed their draft Team Principles over the past couple of months, and we’ve adapted the template with their feedback.
Annette Hogan, Occupational Therapy Access Team Manager said: ‘I found it really helpful to agree the team standard/principle with the OT Access Team. It gave us all a clear purpose and guidance on how to work together as a new team.’
The template is a Word document, so we encourage you to tailor it to your team’s unique needs. Although the move to Colindale is delayed until May, there’s no time like the present to set clear expectations around how, when, and where you’ll work to deliver for our customers.
Managers will receive more details on Team Principles in the TW3 Managers Briefing. All of the resources including the template and guidance are available now on the Team Principles page.
