In May/June 2018 the council carried out a statutory consultation on proposals to introduce additional Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) in Colindale and surrounding areas, and to amend the operational period of the existing Colindale ‘P’ CPZ.
A controlled parking zone (CPZ) is now being put in place to ensure parking is protected for residents. The new CPZ will introduce new parking bays and parking permits that prioritise parking for residents, businesses and their visitors and customers. It will make it easier for residents to park near their homes, and for businesses to maintain customer parking.
The new Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ) are being introduced in the Colindale and Burnt Oak areas from 10 June 2019. However, we are encouraging staff to be mindful of residents in the area and make use of the commuter car parks or take public transport from day one of their moves.
