When we recently experienced a few hours where Outlook was down across the Council, Commissioning Group took the opportunity to have a much needed clear out of the cupboards on the first floor of NLBP.
Encouraged by Jamie Blake, the team filled two cages of items from cupboards that were no longer needed – this included leaflets and paper which didn’t appear to belong to any of the teams on the floor.
Iliana Koutsou, from the Estates Team, said:
“Our team is already completely paperless and ready for the move, but we know there are a lot of full cupboards in NLBP! We helped to clear out a large amount of paper from two unlabelled cabinets in the Commissioning Group area – everything inside dated back to before 2008, which had clearly been left behind by staff who moved on a long time ago!”
Jess Harris, Records Management Officer, added:
“Luckily we didn’t find anything confidential, but it just shows that we all need to take responsibility for all storage in our areas – even if it’s not ours.”
You’ll be hearing more about Bin, Scan, Store days in the lead-up to the move, but why not stay ahead of the game and find time for your teams to have a proper spring clean?
