Transport and Parking at Colindale

Colindale is well connected by public transport options including the Colindale tube station (Northern line) which is 5-8 minutes walk from the building and plans to extend the 125 bus route have now been approved.

However, while the number of available parking spaces for business use have increased since the original plans were put forward, commuter parking at Colindale will be significantly reduced compared to NLBP and Barnet House. So more staff will need to travel to the building by public transport.

These pages outline the business use and commuter parking available, commuter transport options and car pool initiatives, as well as the new, modern facilities for motorcyclists, cyclists and runners.

Staff who will be parking at the RAF Museum need to register to park.

Steps to register to park at the RAF Museum;

•        Log in to the Facilities Management (FM) portal using your employee credentials or select ‘register’ if you have never accessed the portal
•        Select My Building followed by Forms
•        Select RAF Access During Covid Only
•        Select Add New and proceed to complete all mandatory fields
•        Your request will be reviewed by the FM Team and you will receive an email notification from Sean Patten once the vehicle has been uploaded onto the ANPR database. This email notification will give you guidance on where you will need to park. It is important you follow the guidance from the email notification as there is no signage at the RAF specifically for London Borough of Barnet staff.

Note: The email notification you will receive from FM will give you an end date of 25 February 2022; this is because staff parking numbers will continue to be reviewed on a regular basis. The address for the RAF Museum is Grahame Park Way, London NW9 5LL.

Steps to register to park at Platt Halls or Plot 9a and be issued an access fob or permit (Platt Halls is restricted to staff who must park close to the office for personal / medical reasons):

•        Login to the FM portal using your employee credentials or select ‘register’ if you have never accessed the portal
•        Select My Building followed by Forms
•        Select Parking Permit Request
•        Select Add New and proceed to complete all mandatory fields. Upload evidence on why you are requesting to park here, instead of the RAF Museum. For example, if you are requesting to park close to the office because of mobility issues, evidence should include a document from Occupational Health, confirming that your mobility has been assessed to require that facility. You may require assistance from your line manager to obtain this verification
•        Your request will be reviewed by the FM Team. The FM Team may request further evidence from you. Once the vehicle has been registered, you will receive an email notification from Sean Patten. This email notification will give you guidance on where you will need to park and how to pick up your fob or permit, the first time you park.

Note: The email notification you will receive from FM will give you an end date of 25 February 2022; this is because staff parking numbers will continue to be reviewed on a regular basis.

The address for Platt Halls is Chancellor Place, London NW9 5JB and for Plot 9a it is at the junction of Bristol Avenue and Grahame Park Way.
