The Staff Development Programme: Changing the way we work
2019 was a big year of change for Barnet, as staff moved to Colindale and developed new ways of working.
TW3 was more than just a move, it was about embracing new ways of working so that we can deliver the best service to our customers. The Staff Development Programme helped us to strike the right balance between more flexible working and developing our team culture.
As well as the Staff development programme, to equip you with right knowledge there is a range of online and face to face training available now (see below).
E-learning – Develop Me site
There is a specific The Way we Work section on Develop Me to help you adapt, lead and manage change. Topics include:
• Challenges and Change
• Developing Resilience
• Being more productive
• Balance work and life
• Communication skills
You can see how long the modules will take, some as quick as 5 minutes, with videos, e-learning and short articles. Go to Develop Me – our digital learning and development portal (once you log in, go to ‘My Organisation’ on the top right side of the menu, and click on ‘The Way we Work TW3).

Classroom learning is still an important element of any effective personal development. Take time out of your day to focus, connect with your peers and invest in yourself: it’s important for you to build up your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
